Which group should I book?

For one or two people staying in a city, Group A is enough car and the cheapest to run. Add a long highway leg — KL to Penang, or KL to Johor Bahru — and Group B's boot and cabin start to earn the difference.

Travelling as a family, choose the MPV for seven seats. For Sabah, or any itinerary leaving sealed roads, the SUV's ground clearance matters more than the extra seats.
